Danny Devito rides again.

Watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" Thought I would try and draw Devito... don't know if it is successful, but it's a start.

ok. I am usually not the person that finds something interesting on the internet and shares it around, and posts it on my blog. That's not what this blog is about. However, these photos are just too cool. These were taken with a new photography process, and are images of life in the USA in the 30's and 40's. They are awesome.

In addition to this, here are some color photos taken in Russia around 1910. Very cool.

3d mockups.

When this last catalog went out, we didn't have the POS display box from the manufacturer yet, so I had to mock up a couple in Maya/Photoshop to showcase the product, and make it look like it was the actual POS. I think they turned out pretty nice.

Good Morning Monday.

Good morning Monday. So, a little update on something I haven't spoken of at all. Over the weekend I figured out how to setup a Wordpress blog on my own personal website. Here is the link to that: http://blog.sabordesigns.com
It is not ready, not setup.. and just has some placeholder text for now, but I think I will eventually switch to that blog, rather than use this blog.. I think it may appear more professional. Any thoughts on that?
Ok, as you know, I illustrate for a scrapbooking company called Karen Foster Design, I was recently sent some samples of some pages that have been created with product I designed. This is not a scrapbooking blog, but I just thought I would show you what some people are doing with some of my stuff. These were created by a lady named Shelby Koehler in Canada. I'm glad people can find creative ways to use stuff I design.

Maternity and School

So here are the last two lines I worked on for this release: Maternity and School. There are other collateral I designed for these lines like stacked elements and charms etc... but i didn't feel like posting those... so deal with it. If you want to check out the full line, you can go to www.karenfosterdesign.com or scrapbookpaper.com and see all the new stuff.

Potty training

Alright, Here are 2 more themes (I'm trying to get through all of these, it was a big release). The top one is for babies as they grow older.. like the first time they do stuff. "Baby's Firsts" I think it is called. The second one is potty training. You can use one of the papers as a potty training chart and track their status..
Here is Karen Foster Design's official website: http://karenfosterdesign.com/
And here is the site you can buy all of these products from if you can't find it in any store: http://scrapbookpaper.com/

Happy Monday. Also, here is some more stuff.

Here we have Christmas. This year we split Christmas into 2 separate lines: Whimsical and Vintage. The top two images are the Vintage line and the bottom two are the Whimsical line.  The smaller image on each is the sticker set that coordinates with the paper. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Here is the football line that was recently released. It is made to give it a semi-vintage feel to it.
The small image is a sheet of card stock stickers, and the larger images are papers.  I think they turned out pretty cool.

Srapbook Time again.

OK, as you may know. I work full-time at Karen Foster Design as a Lead Illustrator/Designer. Every couple of months we release new product. It is that time again. There was just a Craft and Hobby Association show last week and the new products were released, so I can now share them on my blog. I will just show the ones I created, one a day for the next couple of days. Enjoy.
OK, I lied. Here are 2 different products, Autumn and Thanksgiving. I just designed them to coordinate, so i am posting them together.

Late at night posting...

A friend commissioned me to create a piece of artwork for her baby's room. This is what I created. It will by 2'x3'... pretty big

Ok, one more post today. I uploaded some brushes for people to download. If you use Photoshop, you may find these useful, if not, oh well. Enjoy! Become one of my blog minions for more updates!

New tool

I got a trial of CS5 and I was playing around with a new tool in Illustrator. It is a vector brush tool. I used it to create the shadows and highlights on this bunny.
