3d mockups.

When this last catalog went out, we didn't have the POS display box from the manufacturer yet, so I had to mock up a couple in Maya/Photoshop to showcase the product, and make it look like it was the actual POS. I think they turned out pretty nice.

Good morning Monday. So, a little update on something I haven't spoken of at all. Over the weekend I figured out how to setup a Wordpress blog on my own personal website. Here is the link to that: http://blog.sabordesigns.com
It is not ready, not setup.. and just has some placeholder text for now, but I think I will eventually switch to that blog, rather than use this blog.. I think it may appear more professional. Any thoughts on that?

Ok, as you know, I illustrate for a scrapbooking company called Karen Foster Design, I was recently sent some samples of some pages that have been created with product I designed. This is not a scrapbooking blog, but I just thought I would show you what some people are doing with some of my stuff. These were created by a lady named Shelby Koehler in Canada. I'm glad people can find creative ways to use stuff I design.

Maternity and School

So here are the last two lines I worked on for this release: Maternity and School. There are other collateral I designed for these lines like stacked elements and charms etc... but i didn't feel like posting those... so deal with it. Potty training

Alright, Here are 2 more themes (I'm trying to get through all of these, it was a big release). The top one is for babies as they grow older.. like the first time they do stuff. "Baby's Firsts" I think it is called. The second one is potty training. You can use one of the papers as a potty training chart and track their status..

Here we have Christmas. This year we split Christmas into 2 separate lines: Whimsical and Vintage. The top two images are the Vintage line and the bottom two are the Whimsical line.  The smaller image on each is the sticker set that coordinates with the paper. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Football

Here is the football line that was recently released. It is made to give it a semi-vintage feel to it.
The small image is a sheet of card stock stickers, and the larger images are papers.  I think they turned out pretty cool.

Srapbook Time again.

OK, as you may know. I work full-time at Karen Foster Design as a Lead Illustrator/Designer. Every couple of months we release new product. It is that time again. There was just a Craft and Hobby Association show last week and the new products were released, so I can now share them on my blog. I will just show the ones I created, one a day for the next couple of days. Enjoy.

Texas Stacked Statement

I made this over a year ago, I jut thought I would share my art file, and the final product that sells in stores. The top one is the actual product, and the bottom is the illustrator file I sent to the manufacturer.

Modern Mom

Here is another scrapbook theme that was released in April. Apparently the last "Mother" line that was produced felt a little dated and geared toward older moms, so we wanted to do a more modern look for the modern mom. That was what we were going for this time, and i think it is pretty modern.

Camping themed products

Here is the Karen Foster Design camping theme that I created for this last release in April. It has 4 papers, I card stock sticker, 1 stacked journaling element and 2 stacked borders, and 4 metal grand brads. I didn't post the stacked elements or the grand brads, because I don;t have actual images, but if I get actual images of the product I will. Anyway, more scrapbooking stuff. What do you expect? I spend 8 hours a day working on scrapbook stuff, so of course it will show up here. Word.

Father Themed papers and stickers

Here is the "Father" line that was released in April for Karen Foster. The idea was to focus more on a "Modern" dad, rather than the previous line a couple years ago that looked more like the Father Knows best dad... so, me, being the modern dad that i am, took cues from my own life for this. There are 3 papers and 1 card stock sticker.

Back to scrapbook products.

This line is called "Ancestry Kids" or something like that. It is dsigned for kids to create their own little genealogy pages.
