texture walk test

Wanted to try and have a stationary texture while the animation is moving over top of it... so I whipped this up to test it out. Sorry about the walk cycle... it's not that clean. It wasn't about the animation though, just about the testing.

I changed my mind.

Ok, so I changed my mind. I have every right to change my mind. I have decided not to do the website like I have previously posted, instead, i came up with another design, and this is it. For now. Maybe tomorrow I will decide on a different look, but I think this one is pretty cool. Text is just a placeholder for now.

New website

Alright. I said that I was going to redo my website, and I think I have what it is going to look like down. Here is a sketch of what it will be. Now, you need to understand that this is just a sketch and not what the final product will be. The final product will be fully rendered and awesome. I am planning on doing some cool things with CSS to make it work.. so I will be working on this off and on for the next little while in between freelance gigs.

Website.

I'm going to redo my website. Not this one, this is my blog. My current website, www.sabordesigns.com, is kind of impersonal, so i think I am going to make it so it is more apparent that it is my website, that I am the sole artist etc... By doing that, i think I can make it way cooler and be able to add some more style to it, rather than keeping it all stiff looking.

In Memory

This is another theme that I didn't really want to do. I wasn't supposed to even do this theme, but the person who was going to do it, didn't end up doing it and I had to rush to get it done.

Baptism Line

I didn't want to do this line. I like doing stuff that has more character, but I did it anyway. I tried to keep this free from any specific religion, just keep it Christian. I hope I did that. We were trying to appeal to all Christian religions, or at least the majority. You can;t please everyone every time. On the sticker page, at the bottom is what we call a "Stacked Statement". This is a 3D object that is handcrafted that people can use on their pages.

Bonus post

This is a bonus post. It is almost midnight, and I decided to scan one of my random sketches from my pile of sketches and share it. I literally collect hundreds and hundreds of sketches and never do anything with them. I know no one reads this anyway, but I just thought I would share.

Another direct marketing email

Here is another email designed for Light Touch laser. This one is for February.

The best eraser.

In my professional opinion, the best eraser you can get is the Staedtler Mars Plastic eraser. Now, some may say that maybe a kneaded eraser is better, but I stand by my view that the Mars eraser is far superior than the kneaded eraser. Here is why: The kneaded eraser gets real dirty, real fast. One may say that the advantage is that there is no eraser "dust", but in my opinion, this is just evidence that the garbage you are trying to get rid of is staying in your eraser, which makes it necessary to get a new one. With the Mars eraser, you are erasing the pencil, then blowing it or wiping it away, thus leaving less graphite on the actual eraser, which will provide a cleaner erase next time you use it. Also, I tend to knead the kneaded erasers kind of like a nervous tick when they are in my hand, and it ends up transferring dirt onto my hands, which is not good for all of the "cleanest hands in the office" contest... I don't know what that means. Anyway, here is a picture of the magnificent eraser.

A little break

A little break from the scrapbook stuff. I do monthly email blasts for a local company, here is the latest email blast.
